Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Thorens ski hire

Can anyone recommend a ski hire shop in Val T? Need skis, snowboards, mini-skis/snowblades/skiboards/whatever-they-are-called-this-week. Have boots so not bothered about their fitting skills. Thanks in advance. Very Happy

The shop that looks after us at the EoSB is called Ski Technic. They've always proved friendly, attentive and amusing.
They are located under the Novotel which is not exactly in the centre of town but does give you ski in/ ski out access which is convenient if you need to swap or adjust anything during the week.

It's run by Dede and Ian (PM him) who is a snowHead -

Their prices are pretty keen already but tell them you're a snowHead and I wouldn't be surprised if you get a bit of a discount as they're supporters of the cause.

Dede is back from holiday on the 8th Oct. If Ian doesn't respond to his mail PM me and I'll forward Dedes e-mail. He's pretty good at responding between kite surfing sessions.
