Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

week 15th-22nd March, 2008... busier in Austria than Switzerland?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all, just noticing in planning for trip on the above dates that many areas of Austria appear to be in the midst of a busy period - Fasching or something? Is Switzerland likely to be similarly affected or is it likely to be quieter do you think? Are all areas of Austria affected?

OK... you're all veritable mines of information wink

Now, back to the main point... is Switzerland likely to be just as busy as Austria for the week 15th-22nd March, 2008...? snowHead

carled, I hope not, having just booked that week for a holiday in Verbier (on the basis of research which indicated that only Germany and Denmark have school hols in that week)! However, having done a bit more research - belatedly - it looks as though some Swiss schools break up on the Thursday of that week, and some at the beginning of the week. I'm hoping that the 'home' school hols won't make too much difference. At least I feel fairly confident that Switzerland won't be over-run with British ankle-biters then, which is a start! Perhaps one of the Swiss resident snowHeads will be along to tell us the answer in a minute...

Switzerland will be marginally busier than Austria as it has much better snow. Wink Therefore more people.

Typically the 15th - 22nd March ispretty much the last week of the season where the snow is still good, the sun is out and there aren't too many kids.

The week after become hell.
