Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

salomon f-series boots

 Poster: A snowHead

just wondering has anyone tried the salomon f series boots. i'm thinking about some f20 or 22s - any feedback?

i have around £150-170 to spend (credit note from TSA) and had salomon synapse boots last year. so it's most likely salomons will fit - dialogue/f20/f22. i know (to my cost) it's all about fit, but i do like the idea of a bit of extra clearance from the smaller volume of the f-series, i think.

Hard on for the bootfitters, can't remove the liners when things go wrong, look at Thirty -Two. Little Angel

I have some Salomon F20s (Ladies BTW!) Love them. Would definitely recommend. Fantastic fit, easy lacing.

I have ladies f22, can't reccomend highly enough. Perfect fit, extreme comfort, no heal lift, great response, comfortable to walk in, barely look used after over 70 days of riding. No sweaty feet - even in this hot April weather.
Oh, and my achy toe joint didn't ache at all this winter!

Only complaint would be that the inner lace was hard to tighten but they have redisigned that bit on the new ones. I will certainly buy again.

I don't have F series boots but I do have the Salomon Malamutes and they're outstanding. Whatever you do, go for a pair of Salomons!

I bought a pair of F22's for next year and after trying on LOADS of different makes and models I have to say these fit perfectly. Maybe not the best looking boot for some people as its quite stealth, but its comfort that wins cos chaffed sore feet will end your fun!

thanks for the replies.

i went shopping yesterday - tried on a few pairs, but as soon as i tried on the f22s it was deal done. they fit me like a glove (should that be "fit me like a boot maybe'?) and hold the heal down totally. off to the dome on monday to try them out. snowHead

Another for Salomon here. The 32's are lighter but the Salomons fit perfectly. SO has had big problems with 32s and heel lift so Salomon it will be for her too.

saxabar, heal lift in 32's is normally due to bad technique not the boot. tell her to seriously think about how she puts in turns before blaming he boot! the old saying Bend zee kneez helps massively.

I know this as it happend to me. sorted out the bad technique and the heal lift has gone.! sorted Very Happy
