yep, was there feb before last. The USA ski team were staying in the same hotel and practising on their own private piste!!! How cool was that? Quiet town of an evening and empty slopes thro' the week, gets busy with weekenders, I enjoyed the slopes immensely, it was however only my second trip. I would re-visit. the homeward stretch was quite challenging at the start of the week!!!!

ickabodblue, the Harlequin hotel is perfectly situated and when we we there the staff were friendly and relaxed. You will enjoy it i'm sure.

northantsred, I'm sure we'll enjoy it. My kids are young so the location looks great and the swimming pool and kids club will keep them busy in the afternoons after ski school. Just perfect really, thanks for mentioning it.

ickabodblue, yes a school trip, my second ski hol. I skied the Canalone twice that week, I can not recomend the hotel or the the instruction but the skiing was good for a second week.

Dunk, Not quite my second trip but I never get bored skiing and it is the second trip for one son and the first for the other. This morning it is covered in lots of lovely SNOW !!!!

Been there three times, twice as a novice and one weekend a couple of years back. Not much terrain or challenging pistes. There is one corker of a run called the Canalone. About 5km of unpisted steep stuff. Last time I was there it was a mixture of powder and crust. However you won't get near it if it's windy and they close the top cable car. If you're timid make sure that you can do the whole run, cos once you've started there is no other way down and you might find you're the only person on the run.
