Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Any recommended chalets in 3V area?

Title says the most obvious bit, here's the details:
* 12 or so people
* One week, March 8/9 onwards
* Prefer catered
* Location probably either Meribel, Meribel Village, Mottaret or Courcheval 1550 (1850 too pricey, 1650 - so I'm told - has awkward lift links)
* Not after anything mega-fancy, but clean and tidy
* Hot tub a definite bonus

If anyone has any knowledge of decentish places that sound like they fit the above, I'd appreciate a tip off Smile

Several years ago I stayed in a nice chalet in La Tania. Ski in/out, hot tub, sauna, catered for 12 people IIRC, spacious and comfortable lounge although some of the bedrooms were a bit small. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what tour operator or which chalet, but I think it might have been with Alpine Action.

Have you considered La Rosiere it is in France and near Italy you could try La Rosiere, it's consistently one of the top 5 French resorts for snow-cover, .................................................. Toofy Grin wink

1650 - its not perhaps as covenient,but still a fairly easy link.

La Tania may be a good bet for chalets.

Also consider st martin de bellville

Good luck

PhilG, I've stayed with Ski BEat in La Tania which has good access to 3v ski area. Meets most of your criteria but don't know about hot-tub

We stayed in a Le Ski chalet, ski in/out, at side of piste in Courchevel 1650 in 2002. Was lovely chalet, excellent food. We did a last minute deal - it was pricier than we had normally done, but that was our first holiday minus kids. It was also the year we did a spur of the moment purchase of an apartment, so we have not done chalets since, but that one was certainly good. At that point the couple who managed it had been doing so for some years, and really had it down to a fine art. That was Jan 2002, bright sun but rubbish snow, and 1650 had the best snow in the 3 Valleys. Good ski instruction too - I think they have a link with New Generation.

PhilG, Try www.whiteplanet.co.uk. We stayed with them in Les Arcs and they now run a chalet in Meribel (Chandon) as well. It looks lovely and has a hot tub!
We have been very well looked after on 3 occasions by them, and would recommend them unreservedly. Their food is fantastic.
