"If global warming keeps going like it is the North Atlantic Drift will stop and we will get a lot colder (think northern Russia is on about the same latitude as us) so more snow!

Will this encourage people from the south of Scotland / England to come here by car (petrol is already over £1 a litre here and has been for at least a year) when they can fly to the Alps for £ 15! Unless this is changed (VAT on aviation fuel would be a start) we are doomed!
Snow sports in Scotland will continue but just not to the same extent of the 1980’s when the lower carpark at the Cas was full of busses and you had to form nice orderly queues 3 or 4 rows deep for the tow.
I live just over an hour away from Nevis and look at this website and others the night before to decide where to go and whether to go at all. There are not many people who live so close to the centres and at the moment the conditions in Scotland are not conducive to booking a ski/board holiday months or even weeks in advance.
So we need consistently good winters and an increase price of holidays aboard"

Hello Hurtle,; as a practised vendor of ski mags with an MBA in snake oil, I heartily recommend the mag to ALL skiers. And also everyone who isn't a skier but might be thinking of it. And their friends.
The essence of the mag is about getting people excited about going skiing. And lots of gear reviews. So if that's you, you'll probably get something out of it. The target reader is an attitude rather than an age...
Headplant, it generally takes about a month for the sub to be processed. Yes, we're not exactly Toyota in the Just in Time dept, but it's to do with the dates people's payments are processed by our subs suppliers which only happens every two weeks. So the sub will probably kick in for the next issue.
II, indeed, thanks for that. We might well be doing the same again this season...
Roger C, the main Gear Guide will be out in October - third Friday of the month. All the skis and boots will be online by next week, however...

skibomb, Sage, is right. The pass lasts for a calendar year - all current subscribers get theirs renewed for the next year in December.

The Fall-Line Gear Guide is an excellent booklet. The best of its kind that I know of. Good to hear it will be republished this year.

Latchigo, rich., er, yes, it should be on sale tomorrow. Apparently I promised the newsstand that it's the third FRIDAY of every month. Not Thursday.
If Document - our other mag - is on-sale in a store then Fall-Line should be. A lot of shop staff think people are saying "Fourline" which doesn't mean anything to them or indeed anyone else. I often have to spell it out to people. With a big hammer.
I would plug the subs offer were I shameless. Oh, I am. If you can't find it in the shops, subscribe via the website and get so much free stuff you could use the mag for 'specialist' purposes and still be quids in. Etc etc etc.

Just a note: if you just subscribed (by direct debit, as I did), the first issue you will get in the mail is not the current issue, but the next. So you will still have to go to the shops to get this new issue
