Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serre Chevalier should suit everyone. Shopping in Briancon for non-skier.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Chamonix (through the Mont-Blanc tunnel) would probably suit you all. Good town for the non skier, ski at Les Houches or Le Tour for the nervous one, or loads of options for the competent ones.

Alternatively you could consider staying at Aosta which is a fair sized city for the non-skier and getting the gondola to Pila to ski.

I guess it depends on whether the non-skier is after activities for themselves or whether they'd be happy just sitting around reading Confused If the latter, then you have many more options. Cervinia is good for intermediates and access to Zermatt is fairly straightforward (weather-permitting).

skitrish, The Milky Way resorts of Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx etc... are much closer than the others suggested.

It is easy to get to Turin by public transport from them.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Visit the old town and the forts
Go to the hot springs at Monetier
Go for a walk in Valle Claree or better try x-country there
Go for a swim including heated outdoor pool in Briancon
Try the ice driving in Villeneuve
Go snow shoe walking in come of the national parks close by.
Sit down exhausted with a nice book and think how much more of a varied holiday you have had than the skiers wink

definately the best choice. esp as the health centre at monetier will be finished which should provide the non skier with lots to do.
It is also only 1 hour and a half away, with no stupidly long tunnel and massive toll to pay to get through it!

There is so much to do here for non skiers to.
Feel free to pm me for lots of details on serre che
