Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are thinking of a trip in January but would like some help on a couple of questions,
The Cime D'Oro seems to fit the bill for accomodation but my girlfriend is a bit concerned about how far it is out of the center (for the bars and restuarants in the evening) has anyone any information on this please.
Also how is the skiing for beginners (second trip).
Any other information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Steve.S, I have been to Madonna D. Camp. on 2 occasions although only for 1 day each time (on trip from Passo Tonale). I really enjoyed it - great range of runs for beginners and intermediates and good mountain restaurants. Sorry I can't help on the accommodation front.

Thanks for your help, we are probably going to book something a little more central as it seems that once you have access to a lift its pretty much possible to get round all the slopes without needing a skibus.

Stephen.

You need to be in town no doubt about it, there are plenty to choose from.

I would recommend hotel Lorenzetti, 5-10 mins drive to the slopes (hotel free taxi service), slopes we're very good when I went in March this year, mainly Reds and Blues, very few Blacks.

The only real black in MdeC is Spinali - under the lift - the bottom half of which is rather steep and not often open. Howerver, MdeC is lift linked to Folgarida and Marilleva, and there are some good reds and a few good blacks over there.
