Poster: A snowHead

Need to pamper my boards, as they're needing some speeding up.
What wax is recomended for all-round use and if you've got any waxing tips, pass 'em on!!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Specialman, For us UK based flatlanders who are waxing for overseas use I recommend a good universal wax. I reckon that the best is the Dominator Zoom universal wax as it has a very wide temperature operating range (0 to -12C snow temp & I've used it fine when colder than that), however the Holmenkol uni wax is also pretty good. If the snow temp goes colder when you're away it's easier for the non racing slider to just wipe on Zardoz Notwax overlay rather than re-waxing with a specific ultra low temp wax. I sell the Dominator wax & the Holmenkol is available from Ski Bartlett or Anything Technical.
Here's a link to the base tuning section on my website. Basically the more you wax'n'brush the faster you'll go, or more importantly for boarders, the further you'll glide on the flats before having to walk! It's written for skis but the same techniques applies to boards: http://www.jonsskituning.co.uk/content/view/22/34/
