Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am off to mottaret for the first time on the 13th (very excited, tho bit concerned about the rain forcast for the weekend in the alps?!)

It mentions on the website that you get a days skiing in la Plagne/Arcs and Expace Killy with a 6 day pass.

Is this worth doing? and if so, how do you actually get to these other resorts, is it more pain than its worth?

If you're only going for a week, you'll be hard pressed to ski the whole of the terrain in the 3 valleys. I wouldn't bother wasting valuable ski time on buses to other resorts.

I'd agree with maggi.......if you were there for a season it'd be worth looking into, but for a week/ten days you'd be pushed to ski all the three (plus the fourth!) valleys.

Tom, I wouldn't worry about the forecast, all the weather services I've looked at are predicting snow for the next few days. I spoke to my daughter in La Rosiere last night and it had been snowing off and on all day. La Rosiere is in the next valley (Haute Tarentaise) to the Trois Vallees.
