Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anorak binding question

Led astray by a link to the Harbl empire on the realskiers thread it prompted me to get out a tape measure and measure up my year old still unmounted skis. Where do you guys that know typically find that ball of foot using a running length measure should be in relation to manufacturer's centre mark?

I measured about 65mm which doesn't sound unrealistic - maybe indicates a 10 to 15mm mounting forward of midsole (in a 328mm sole boot).

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, you'll be needing a ride on "The Balancer".

As usual, it varies.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I thought as much - Nottingham is a long drive for me though.

fatbob, if you got the Kongurs, there are two marks? I'm wondering why you're not using the pin line as a referent since that's what the bellows pressures anyway?

fatbob, Sounds about right for that sole length. The whole theory around the balancing concept is that if your binding position is more than +/- 1cm out from your bodies natural balance position then your body will find it more difficult to rapidly re-centre itself when required & that additional muscle strenght is required for support rather than control. If you follow that doctrine then 'about' isn't really accurate enough.

And it's not that far to Nottingham wink
