Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

be alright if you had a time machine to go back to the 80s Very Happy

Where I work there is an old burton board like that, tempting to get it out one day and see what it's like.

Just had a look around for an old Burton fish pic (a non-snowboarding mate of mine has one and won't let me take it away Evil or Very Mad ) and stumbled on this link from the SKGB - early snowboards reported in the 1920s Confused

rayscoops, hard boot bindings so it probably hasn't been ridden for a while . . . for £10 it'd be a hoot to ride (especially in a romper-suit) in powder . . . but not for 25.

this is a photo of a Russian snowboard

dating from 1843. It is sitting on top of a recent board for comparison.

I wonder if the front is pointing down due to warping? I'm not sure what the documentation is for this board, the historians claim that it is a proto-snowboard with feet being tucked into the loops. If you look at the original Winterstick boards (for example on apocolypse snow) they used a similar system for foot retention.

the other thought I had is that it is a longboard with the trucks missing!
