Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It is good for a weekend trip or dayout.

Reasonable vertical drop. Plenty of snowguns.

Quiet town, quiet piste on weekdays. Weekends are BUSY.

Mostly intermediate cruisers.

Not a destination resort (I wouldn't). Though if you're staying there and gets bored, you can easily drive to Stratton and Killington for day trip.

Okemo does an exceptionally good job with snowmaking, grooming, and trail maintenence. The infrastructure is modern and well maintained. It can be VERY busy on weekends and holidays. There's quite a bit of terrain but, IMO, it lacks variety. It's mostly intermediate cruising terrain. Lots of folks really like it and it's very popular. My wife and I went once on a Saturday and have never had any desire to return. The lodges were so crowded you couldn't find a place to put your boots on and we just didn't find the skiing that interesting. I'm sure we wouldv'e enjoyed it more on a quiet weekday. Ludlow, the village, is probably a decent base. If you were going for more than a weekend trip I'd suggest taking a look at places like Sugarbush, Killington, or Stowe. If you're in the Boston area and are looking for quick day trips there are lots of options.
