Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

San Giovanni Hotel, Livigno

Anyone been?

Found a pretty good deal for this place. Have drank in the bar when we were in Livigno a few years ago. Looks a bit basic, but as long as its clean and functional I don't mind.

As I remember it's beside a little drag lift that allows you to traverse to the main carasello lift.

If it is the place I am thinking of Matteo makes good coffee and his father wanted me to stay in Livigno and marry Matteo.... just get him talking about Kangaroos (btw he speaks no english at all although the rest of family do)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Stayed there for a week in 2005 on our first ever ski trip. Very pleasant friendly place, food good apart from the first Saturday night (because we drove were the only ones there, and it was all out of a packet!). Could ski across to the Carosello, but couldn't find a way to get back without using the bus or walking (though we were beginner skiers then. Our room was pleasant but fairly basic, with a tiny bath, it had a shower head, but the roof was so low you couldn't stand up anyway! I think at the time ours was one of only a couple of room that had not been recently refurbished. I would certainlu have no problems going back to the hotel, but the location is not ideal.

RobinS,

Thanks, If I can persuade the rest of our group, think we'll go for it. I am happy enough with the location as we stayed quite close a few years ago in The Amerikan.
