Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Toussiure, Les Sybelles area

Poster: A snowHead
All,

Any advice appreciated. We have a largish group wishing to go skiing next year and have been looking at the Les Sybelles region. We quite like the looks of the Les Sybelles area due to the lifts which are mainly chairlifts and buttons.

I can't find a particularly great piste map. Can anyone advise on how many buttons there are from the centre of La TOussiure, i.e. one's that you can get without having to get a chairlift. Is Sorlin D'arves any good also.

Anyone got any general advice on La Toussiure I can't seem to find anything about it on here.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Liz

liz09,

There's a trip report from St Sorlin d'Arves here:

Also, if you have any French, the skipass.com station pages are quite good:

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

thanks - I read that, St Sorlin D'arve sounds a good resort. Guess it's the specific advice about where the buttons are that I need.

You need to Login to know who's really who.

I was there in March this year, never did get round to writing a trip report. You can easily get out of La Toussuire using buttons though. Getting back to La Toussuire once you;ve dropped over to any of the other villages will require a chairlift though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

excellent sounds like a good thing, so basically you reckon you can go quite high up in the La Toussiure area without having to get a chairlift. He's a beginner so unlikely to get the full Les Sybelles pass.

Thanks for the advice.

You'll need to Register first of course.

In addition to my previous question has anyone stayed in Hotel Soldanelles in La Toussiure. If so please can you advise on distance to the lifts. our other option is La Plein Sud which appears to be directly on the piste however doesn't have all the leisure facitilies and the prices are the same.

Many thanks
Liz
