Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Czech skier Vaclav Sura, who stage an expedition to the North Pole in 2005, tied the knot at -30°C in a refrigerated warehouse this week. Yet even this was not cool enough for him, "It would have been better at -50°C and with winds," said the 42-year-old. The guests wore anoraks and snowboots, and all the flowers and accessories were specially chosen to withstand the cold. The venue was festooned with photographs from Sura's expedition....From: http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=29&art_id=nw20070724221525435C596771

More from the local press:
There was about 150 guests invited, but only a few of them were willing to dress in heavy coats and experience the temperature inside which was 60-65C colder than the heat wave outside. Some of the guest wanted to sit during the ceremony, they needed to bring sledges with themselves. Special 'freeze-proof' roses came from the Netherlands, and the copule had no hard time selecting the proper shoes, they wore ski boots. First, the mayor of the town refused to perform the ceremony, but luckily the vice-mayor, who was born in the High Tatras mountains, was willing to work under extreme conditions.
