Ski pass prices in Aspen to be unveiled Tuesday

The Aspen Skiing Co. plans to announce its season pass prices and lift ticket prices on July 31, spokesman Jeff Hanle said. Initially, Hanle said the prices would be announced Monday, July 30, but later amended the date. Passes will go on sale Aug. 1.

A letter providing the menu of pass price options will be mailed “any day now” to last season’s passholders, Hanle said. He was tight-lipped about prices.

The cheapest full-season pass was $1,179 last season. The price of that pass increased $50 each of the last two seasons.

Hanle indicated consumers should expect a similar price hike. Pass prices, he said, “pretty much stayed on their standard trend.”

The Skico’s single-day lift ticket price peaked at $82 last season, up from $78 the prior season. That put Aspen in the upper echelon among North American resorts, but not at the highest price in the country. Vail peaked at $85.
