My ski touring / mountaineering pants are in a stretchy softshell... do they count? Actually, a lot of pants are made from Schoeller Dryskin, it's a fantastic fabric.
http://www.needlesports.com/Catalogue/Technical-Clothing/Legs/Heavy-Duty/Plus-Pant#.Ulf3yhBTN8E
Winter weight soft shell trousers made with Schoeller Dryskin, Gore Windstopper and Kevlar reinforcing for ice climbing, winter mountaineering and skiing in the usual abysmal conditions.
Highly windproof and breathable and very water resistant.
Elasticated waist and belt, removable elastic braces, articulated knees, adjustable ankle to fit over ski boots, inner ankle reinforcement, detachable inner gaiters, two zipped hand pockets, one zipped back pocket and a zipped thigh pocket.

One of my guests in my first season had some Poivre Blanc soft shell trousers. They were very flattering on her but also too expensive for me

livetoski, yeah, V4 was a highly-regarded boot. I missed that stage and got the V5 with the 5 flouro red buckles. Amazing to see all those brands listed and compare with the big brands today. Head, Rossi, Atomic... none of 'em had a boot back then and Salomon had only just got started.

livetoski, ha ha
Dinnie-fits were well popular in my school days, probably as many of the WC guys were winning on them.

I had V4 Pro
If only CEM had been around then and fitted them correctly.
Serious question:
(Plastics apart) Why has boot technology gone backwards from the V4? They were so incredibly adjustable and pactical.
I even wonder if I could still use them if I had Zipfits in them?
