Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

help needed - la rosiere chalet

Poster: A snowHead
I'm sure some of you will recognise the angst of being the person in charge of making a group booking, particularly if, like me, you do it year-in year-out. You're expected to deliver and to the rest of the group this seems like a trivial task at times!

Anyhoo, i digress. I'd like to take my group to la ros next Feb half term (i've heard enough from fellow snowHead that i simply have to try it!). I'm looking for advice on catered chalets that would suit a group of 16. I've had a scout about and found some lovely looking places but all seem to be booked up - so much for being quiet at HT! Wink

Any info, links, PMs etc would be welcome

Many thanks
Ian

ian010, I would suspect it may be a bit late for 16 in a catered chalet.

Try http://www.skiolympic.co.uk/larosiere-oliver.html, it sleeps 40+ and may have room.
Crystal
Esprit
Ski Beat
are the ones I know that do catered
For catered self drive there are

http://www.tracksvacations.com/ (too small)
http://www.morealps.com/
http://www.snowcrazy.co.uk/

You could also try for self drive the Relais du Petite San Bernado Hotel which is 2* but seems tidy enough and ski in / next to lift http://www.petit-saint-bernard.com/frame_english.htm

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Do a search on www.ifyouski.com , it comes up with a whole stack of available chalets for 16 or more at half term. Then just try and find which operators they are. Good luck !

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

ian010, it's the slopes that are quiet, not the accomodation... perhaps everyone enjoys the afternoon tea and cakes more than in other resorts? Laughing
