Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Woohooo well done!! We're yet to book our first trip - I can't remember the last time we'd got to July and I didn't have anything booked. My fingers are getting itchy Toofy Grin

La Plagne 1800, been there before when staying in Vallandry but can't really remember it very well, with 4 kids under 6 so a social life outside the chalet won't be necEssary and the ski school is very close to chalet so can't ask for much more...anyone stayed with Ski Beat there before? (no negative reviews please!)

martski, Yes I stayed in chalet margarite in 1800 and it was a great holiday. Been on 2 ski beat hols in past both good. All the ski beat chalets in 1800 are in good positions either for slope/ski school or bus up to centre. Maybe will see you as we ski back to Montalbert - should be there at some point in january!

martski, Not there but stayed with Ski BEat in La Tania - good chalets and reasonable food. Would certainly recommend them - now tend to self-cater so don't currently use them

martski, Stayed in the Marguerite in 1800 over easter 2006. It was opposite the only shop and a ski shop. Nothing much else there really but with five little kids in our group it was fine for us.
We caught the bus to the Oxygene ski school at Plagne Centre each day as that was the easiest way up first thing and could ski back each afternoon.
Ski Beat were ok; nothing special but nothing really bad. The chalet hosts were a mature couple, David and Chrissy who were absolutely great and really made it for us.

We have a 5 year old and a 2year old and t'other family have a 6 year old and 4 year old, might be worth considering private lesson for them all (especially after last year's debacle of 4 year old in ESF with a load of 8 year olds!)

O/wise ESF class or any others anyone can recommend..

martski, Oxygene collected the kids by bus each morning and gave them back to the ski beat nannies after the lessons. We had two 8 year old boys who were in a group of 4 and my 4 year old daughter who was in a group of 6-8. All went well and all the classes were 100% brit skiers. Daughter cried each morning but was fine once she had left us (nanny stays on hand).
