Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bid Power Index suggests 2014 Winter Olympics bidders are neck and neck

Ten days before the IOC vote in Guatemala City, the race for the 2014 Winter Games is too close to call, according to the Around the Rings Olympic Bid Power Index. PyeongChang (Korea), Salzburg (Austria) and Sochi (Russia) all have the same score - 83 points each out of a possible 110....The ATR Bid Power Index, which was released on Monday, is the final ranking before the July 4th vote in Guatemala City. It is a ranking based on 11 criteria, which include subjective points such as ambience and objective details such as accommodations or transport. The index is based on multiple visits by ATR reporters to the cities in the past 2 years’, coverage of presentations by the cities around the globe, and scrutiny of bid documents, and interviews with bid officials, International Olympic Comittee members and other sports leaders.

The index is not meant to predict but to compare some of the major points that go into a successful Olympic Games. Judgments are based on nearly 20 years of covering Winter and Summer Olympics and the bids that led to them.
