Thought you might like this one. Ski & travel writer Leslie Woit has decided to spend her summer high on the alpine pastures near Maria Alm, Salzburgerland, to live with and care for a herd of cows! She writes a great blog... www.austria.info and there's some excellent pics.
She's not a silly moo at all actually but she is getting cabin fever and would welcome a visit if anyone's in the area!

Sounds great - like the Austrian version of 'The Archers'. Fraulein Grundy, Herr Aldridge and Linda Schnell. Is there a love angle, cider, illegitimate child, sausage-making, suicide, milk quota etc. storyline?
I take it there's no pigs and arable farming involved.
