I off to Tignes for the season 07/08 and was wondering if any one had any previous experience of working there. For example good places to work and tips on finding a job. Also other information on just living in tignes would be much appreciated.

im doing a season in tignes too!! woop woop. going alone and need some accommondation.....any1 help?? need a job too but might just worry bout that when im out there!!

Finding work in Tignes.
The best advice is to get there early - mid-November for preference (NOT joking), and get your face around all the shops/bars/small Brit TOs/hire shops etc. ALL the vacancies I saw advertised when I arrived last year (17 Nov) were filled by the first official day of the Ecpace fully opening (25 Nov).
To be honest, you have to be lucky (though good looking girls with large personalities tend to be luckier than most) in getting something if you haven't done a season in Tignes before. Plenty of people turned up, spent up & went home last season.
You could try Clare at http://www.tignes.co.uk/seasonaires.htm - last time I talked to her (this month) she was looking for chalet staff. Accommodation would probably be part of the deal, too.

Not sure what kind of work you're looking for but it is possilbe we will be looking for staff for season 07/08 at hotel chalet Les Melezes which you can have a look at on www.mountainsunltd.com
