Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

250ft snowflex 'mountain' planned for Fort Worth

Developers are planning a 250 ft Snowflex 'mountain' at Fort Worth. I see snowflex is already used at the Dorset snowsport centre. I remember a sort of carperty stuff at Sheffield Ski Village, in addition to the Dendix slope. I wonder if that was the same stuff? It didn't strike me as very good when I tried it - but maybe it wasn't being misted properly at the time.

They use the snowflex stuff for the 'snowpark' in Gloucster. It was painfully slow when I went on it.

Wouldn't say its any better than the regular stuff.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The stuff at the top of the gloucester slope isn't actually Snowflex, but an alternative brand that is pretty c**p. Of all the carpet like coverings for slopes Snowflex still seems to be the best and easiest to ski on, but I'd prefer Dendix to it any day. I guess Snowflex is probably better for freestyle, but I'm not really in to that. All surfaces need to have proper misting to be any good in dry weather. This is where Gloucester usually does pretty well.

Yep, that's snowflex on the park side of the Sheffield slope. The dendix at Sheffield is now well knackered.

Very off topic but what's happening to Sheffield since they said they were going into administration or going bust - not sure which?

Sheffield went into administration a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to post a news story about it but couldn't find any articles to reference. Local radio (BBC Sheffield) said that the receivers were looking to sell it as a going concern and that they had several interested parties. Since then I've heard nothing.
