Help please.
Have been challenged to find our mixed group (newbees to old timers) a fantastic holiday for third week of Jan 08.
Ideally we want a catered chalet in a quiet resort (no full English's please) without hours spent on a transfer coach. Of course a good snow history will be nice with enough terrain to keep the experienced happy and easy access to the slopes for those creeping back battered and bruised.
Oh yes we like good, Vegi friendly food.
Please I know a place exists I just don't know where to find it, if I don't I have been threatened with the giants of Val D or Chamonix.

run by very nice dutch people. good food; booze not included but very cheap. A little out of the resort but they had a van which would run you to the lifts and pick you up when you got down. very quiet indeed but such a nice place just to chill out that we didn't feel the need to go out to bars etc. great link into the Alpe d'Huez ski area and queues really are unheard of!

La clusaz has to be the place. It meets all your requirements however the chalet that we stayed in only had 4 beds. There were however many other chalet's nearby with the same easy access to the piste. If you search for chalet's on the 'cret du merle' I'm sure you'll find something to suit you.

crookedjo, Welcome to snowHeads.
Try www.whiteplanet.co.uk in Peissey, Les Arcs. Tony's food is sublime. great chalet close to the Vanoise Express lift between Les Arcs & La Plagne.

crookedjo, Another vote for La Plagne from me. If you fly ino Chambery (which should be bearable in January) the transfer should be just over an hour or so.

Have to concur with La Plagne. Some nice chalets just above Plagne Centre, or in Plagne Villages or 1800

How many of you will there be?
My chalet sleeps 8 in four bedrooms - located in Les Carroz, part of the Grand Massif (Flaine) ski area and is about 50 minutes drive from Geneva Airport.
Let me know if this could be of interest.
