Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It is nearly over, who is heading south!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
So with the european season nearing its end I was just wondering who is heading south over the summer.

Last year we hit Chile which was amazing (see my report in the resorts section) and I'd love to hit Las Lenas and Bariloche this year but unfortunately I am broke.

Who here has done the South American experience...

It is definately worth it over a 2 week break only issue is expense as even on a budget it can come in at between 1500-2500 pounds per person.

If anyone here is thinking of going and wants any advice just hit me a pm.

A couple of extra tit bits.
a: The high altitude of S.America leads to a different skiing experience the snow is a lot crisper I guess this translated to faster skiing.
b: Chile and Argentina make loads of good cheap wine!

Frosty the Snowman, I hope you don't get a nose-bleed in the rarefied southern atmosphere. last week of the season, Ryan is already in Turkey ensuring the dive boat is ready and the chalet will be shut next week.

I find Chillan to be exceptional & far less crowded .
In fact it has the highest vertical in Chile with some excellent Off Piste and cheap Heli Skiing.

Termas de Chillan 1100 metres
La Parva 950 metres
El Colorado 900 metres
Valle Nevado 789 metres

Las Lenas is a great area however, if the Marte is closed (frequently) then you may as well be skiing in Seefeld Happy The best skiing in Las Lenas is the back country, quite easily accessble and plenty of Argy,Ozzy,NZ guides available for hire.
