Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tarmac skiing? How about Hungerford Bridge?

Hoppo recently mentioned tarmac skiing at Val Thorens. I guess skiing Hungerford Bridge won't do skis too much good, either.

Not as impressive as the Angel underground escalator one - it was short and he was holding onto the handrail! Toofy Grin

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hoppo, I agree - interesting though - particularly seeing him not come to grief when he left the stairs.

Yep, not as impressively suicidal as the legenday Angel one. I reckon even I could have done a couple of short flights of steps like that.....

I have a mountain bike clip where the guy jumps off a roof and lands halfway down a set of subway steps. What a stunt Shocked

Not wishing to diminish the lad's achievement in skiing down a flight of steps but.......why would anyone think it was difficult? I can't see why anyone would have a problem sliding gently straight down like that - it's not as if there are any turns required.

OK, so the vid is of a longer staircase than I've done but I used to take a shortcut in ADH that involved cutting off the town run, down some wooden steps across an ice covered square, down more wooden steps and along a icy pavement to right outside our chalet door.

Coming along one day and turned into the first steps and nearly had a heart attack; the square had been cleared and was now block paving. That caused a fair big emergency stop!

This was on Sally 1080's, so a decently soft ski to make the transitions at the bottom of the steps.
