Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing in europe/ scandinavia in may

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My romantic plans for skiing and huskie dog sledding in Riksgransen, Sweden (arctic circle)from the 13th - 19th May have evaporated today - no accomodation available at all. Does anyone know where you can definitely ski in europe at this time? Things are getting desperate so I may decide to include US/canada in the criteria even though we're only going for a week. I'm looking for somewhere that is unusual/picturesque/quirky for me and the girlfriend. Needs to have more than just 2 ski lifts to keep us occupied for the week as we're both experienced skiers

Val d'Isere/Tignes should be ok as they still have plenty of snow
also, Zermatt/Cervinia should still be running then as also seem to have some good snow levels.

Don't have any specifics. Haven't been.

No idea how much snow they have in May but Levi, Yllas and Saariselka in Finland are north of the Arctic circle. Stryn in Norway has summer skiing, but not winter (IIRC). I'm not sure when they dig out the roads. There is Bjoli not from from Stryn which does winter skiing.?

Both Geilo and Hemsedal (the best known resorts in Norway) shut at the end of April, so they're both out I'm afraid. Not sure about the other resorts (Oslo, Voss, etc.) though.
