Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Atomic Metron 9

Poster: A snowHead
I skied on these for the first time a couple of weeks ago and loved em. They're quite a rigid ski and I used 164s. Plenty of grip on a variety of piste conditions, cut through the crud, even pretty good on some of the very limited off-piste that was available (not much to be honest). All in all a very assured pair of skis.

Found them quite heavy after several long days, but guess this was as much to do with not being as fit as I was a couple of years ago as anything. Also, the ski hire shop described them as "expert". Now I'm no expert on ski design etc, so have no idea, but at €115, this did seem a little high.

Anyone else tried them? They're certainly amongst the best skis I've skied on and the temptation to buy a pair at a knock down £190 + bindings was almost irresistable, especially given the hire price for a week!

Marcus, I've got M9's and like them. I'm far from an expert and the skis certainly aren't aimed at experts. I think ski hire prices are also determined by whether they are "this years model". £190 seems a good price for a pair.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I loved my Metrons - thought they were the best that you could get. Then I discovered Movement Sparks....far more powerful than the Atomics, but not as heavy.

In my opinion....which probably doesn't count for much.
