Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Plagne

Hi all

I've just booked for La Plagne. Heading out 3rd Jan. I'm staying in Plagne Soleil, so we've got ski in/out. I know it's quiet in Soleil itself, so can anyone tell me if it's walkable to one of the busier centres for a night out? I've not visited L Plagne before.

Cheers all

We stayed in Plagne Soleil a few years ago - we liked the location very much. If you head over the piste to Plagne Villages there is a telebus lift which takes you to Plagne centre - ran until late (1 am?) One year it was free, another year we had to pay a couple of euros. I think you can then get a navette to Belle Plagne etc if you want. I don't know about walking - we did it in the light once to Plagne Centre and it wasn't too far but it would depend on the weather conditions.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

As AW said, there's a telebus thingy that takes you back and forth. It was free the last time we were there (few years ago now though...) and open quite late. Top tip: don't try and walk back up the piste. Down is entertaining, but up - especially after a few beers - isn't recommended!

You can definitely walk it by cutting across through a car park from centre, but it will take you ages in the dark.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Cheers for the responses guys. Looking forward to checking out a new resort not previously visited.
