Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

PhillipStanton, I think they're on about Marker Duke bindings. Don't know much about it except its freeride alpine touring binding with the emphasis on the freeride. Aimed at mental people who want to jump off cliffs.

Have I got that right?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

rich, kinda, 16 DIN, nice 'low' riser height (for a touring binding). It's still pretty heavy but it's pretty burly, it's hard to buy bindings over 14 DIN, and this one is ideal for hitting the 'slackcountry'. If I was a skier I'd get a few pairs...

Thanks rich and parlor - someone had mentioned these to me a few days ago, but not by name.

There's a bit on PisteHors over here.

I should also say that the toe piece on one of MrsPhillipStanton's two week old Marker bindings fell apart off-piste in the Combe d'Angolon. It was a far from pleasant experience getting out of the bowl. Those of you who've met MrsPhillipStanton will know that she's far from burly. Very, very far from burly.

I do hope these are built better wink

I'm very glad to hear it SMALLZOOKEEPER.

The experience went to show how far 500m of powder bowl is if you've only got one ski.

PhillipStanton, surely you've got claim against the makers there if they weren't up to two weeks skiing - from what I see all ski kit is sufficiently pricey that I'd think I'd be miffed if something didn't stand 2 weeks use.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Completely agree. But the shop replaced the binding without quibble. There was no harm done. And life is, frankly, too short.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Any info on the binding feel? How is it. Definitely interested in getting a pair but got new freeride pluses this season???
