Has any got any really useful link urls in their Explorer favourites, eg weather, travel, webcams etc, generally useful ones for skiers/boarders, plus French links with an emphasis on the Tarentaise Valley? I'm putting together a database of useful websites and pages at the moment. What's on line for now mainly concerns Bourg St Maurice / Les Arcs / Paradiski, but I want to extend it to the whole of the Tarentaise...
All suggestions gratefully received.

skanky, cheers, added. Snoweye's a good site Diarmuid, and I'll add the boarding ones somewhere. Hmm, not sure about snow-forecast!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The met info on the web sites of many Chamonix-area resorts seems to be a précis of this, which is pretty comprehensive and usually accurate. I like the fact that it looks 5 days out, and comments on the reliability of the forecast, so good for impulse long-weekends, etc. Also note that there's a station report for the Aiguille du Midi, which it's wise to check before a Vallée Blanche descent.

One of the most useful one's i've found recently (from here) is www.whichbudget.com - which shows all the cheap airlines and where they fly to on one website.

Hi
If you are still struggling with popups then it's definately time to try out firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/
It has many feature that once you get used to them you will never go back to IE

Diarmuid, it's ok mate, I'm well aware of the browsing alternatives to Uncle Bill's
Just courteously pointing out that I'm providing a link with known drawbacks.

Off Topic but Google's Tool Bar and SP2 together are pretty effective for those who decide to stay with IE. Not one pop-up on the savoiemeteo site.
Are French sites worse than most for Pop-Ups? They certainly plagued me before I took defensive action.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Thanks, added a few, can't get the US military one to load though, had that problem before (possibly because my IP's in France?!)

PG, I have that problem too and though I'm not in France, they may confused by the fact that I'm in St. Evenage (twinned with St. Chavanage).
I'll see if I can dig out some URLs to the GFS and other models. The sites I use have selection stuff for looking at them and it's always better to just have a list like the MetO one I posted above.

PG, works OK from my clanky Q8T ISP. It's supposed to be a public site.
