Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski instructors Kaprun/Zell am Zee

Any recommendations? Anybody know any British ski instructors working in the area? Or are any of the Austrian instructors good? Would be looking for speed/race type instruction, preferably in Kaprun but we could do Zell am Zee too.

Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ray Zorro, thank you for the links. Sorry, the search facility doesn't work that well in my browser (Opera). This is really useful information. We're really looking forward to it now - it will be very different from the places we've been before (Alpe d'Huez, 3V lots of times, Tignes), but nonetheless it looks like being a fabulous week.

docsquid, there will be loads of English instructors in Zell/Kaprun. However the Austrian ones I've known have all been good, and speak good English.

docsquid, I've been several times and had excellent instructors from Ski Schule Alpin. They have offices in Zell (by the city express gondola) Schuttdorf (by the Arierbahn Gondla) and in Kaprun. They were brilliant for nervous beginners (like my wife who now ski's black runs with confidence just 4 weeks later!) right the way through to aggressive advanced skiers (who quickly found out that I'm not as good as I thought I was, but I was a lot better after 3 days of private lessons with Wolfgang!)

We've always booked private lessons rather than group lessons. There are all sorts of Nationalities (including Aussies, New Zealanders and Birts) and very good english is spoken by most. If you request and english speaker when you book they'll gladly accommodate you.
