Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ian, www.chaletwensam.com Wendy and Sam have some availability - just 15 mins from Ardent, Morzine, Avoriaz etc. Best food (brekkie, cakes/tea, 4 course evening meal) and friendship in the world. They do pick up from Geneva, drive you around while you're there, ski with you if you want - absolutely spot on. Exceedingly nice and cosy - and Wendy's roast lamb...mmmmmmmmm. Also free booze all evening.
I'm hoping to get a permit to go back in a few weeks time.

Stayed in the Farmhouse http://www.thefarmhouse.co.uk/
Not the cheapest but it is central with ski guide/transport loads of hot water sociable and quality accomodation.

otherwise www.morznet.com/ is useful

ian010, http://www.hotelsporting-morzine.com/gb/hotel.htm I have stayed here three times, family run, short walk from the town centre, skibus right outside to take you to the Avoriaz cable car. Simply e mail Monsieur who speaks some English.

ian010, Would recommend Avoriaz at that time of the year. Does not have too many hotels that are not a silly price. Catered chalets tend to be more centred around Morzine and Montriond. For Catered you could always try a fellow snowHead . snowandtrek.

If you want something at a price you could contact www.avoriaz-holidays.com and book a small studio. Should be good rates mid April.

Good luck and enjoy the area.

Have you thought of the Swiss side - it's much prettier! If you pm me I can give you details of our apartment in Champery - sleeps 5. We have availability from 14th April. Once up the Champery cable car (5 mins) you can ski from the cable car station and it will take you about 20 mins to be at the bottom of the main lifts in Avoriaz.

Champery is indeed a lovely place but would it not be a bit low for mid April? Swiss side is pretty, especially around Morgins but too many Tbars on the CH side.
