Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

jase2472, it's not just the Ryanair staff, it's the airport security you need to worry about too. Read the threads on here about size and shape of bags that are allowed. Even if the Ryanair staff say it is OK, the security guys may reject it.

jase2472, check the airport, I don't know about Liverpool but we were refused ski boots in hand luggage at security at East Midlands a couple of weeks ago. I asked why not and was helpfully told by the security guy 'because you can't!'

I read a letter in a weekend paper's travel supplement, from a punter who regularly used Ryanair for business flights - same flight in and out each week - so knew exactly what hand luggage was the OK size and shape, and used that bag for each trip. One day however, a security guard challenged him and told him it was too big and the 'wrong' shape. The traveller explained it was the same bag he always used, he had never had a problem and it fitted easily into the cage thing that you use to make sure the bag is within size limits at check-in. At this point, the guard asked him did he "want to go outside for a fight". It took several senior Ryanair and aiport staff to soothe things. Very Happy Not sure which airport though, but just shows that the guidelines can be pretty subjective.
