Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have been looking at snowcard, more expensive than most but do cover off piste and theft of kit when unattended and unlocked outside restaurants etc (policy wording suggests this).

Anyone used snow card?

For the theft and wrecked skis/boards, anyone used Intersport insurance, they offer it at rental point and I was wondering does this cover everything that could be done to a set of skis, including theft from mountain
I'm wondering if this plus average insurance with limited off piste cover would work out cheaper (have a family and individual to cover, 6 people, snowcard 100+ quid for a week)

BMC (British mountaineering council)

I did a comparison of lots of insurers in about mid-2005 and BMC came out tops. You have things like them paying for bodies of partners to be flown back home. Many insurers don't cover this and that's the last thing you want if your partner dies in an avalanche/skiing into a tree (pretty likely if you'd ever skied with my other half!).

It covers you for skiing off-piste in bounds and for luggage and stuff like that.

It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
