Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thollon Les Memises

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi, I'm a new Snowhead and a bit of a technophobe, so hoping this is the correct way to post!!

I was hoping to get any info regarding Thollon Les Mimeses - Just North of Evian, as am doing a week there from 10th March. I know it is a small (off the beaten track) resort but cant get a great deal of info from the net.

Does anyone know the current snow conditions, cost of lift passes and the off piste action or any info at all regarding the resort itself.

Appreciate any help.

Cheers Little Angel

IncogSkiSno went there earlier this year, http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?p=481544#481544 she should be able to help you out a bit.
http://www.thollonlesmemises.com/ is their website but that's about as far as my knowledge of it goes

Ethanboy, Welcome to snowheads!!!

It is a small purpose built resort with 50km of piste, mainly for beginners. We were there at New Year and for the first time conditions were really bad, only a fraction of the pistes were open. There are a couple of reasonable reds, but these were closed and can be at other times too. The off-piste is really only to the sides of the piste, there is no serious off-piste. Not sure how much lift passes are - but they are as cheap as you're likely to get.

For more info check out fenlandskiers link above , and if there is anything more specific you need to know, then please do not hesitate to ask. Very Happy

Ethanboy, Hope you have a lovely time in Thollon, but to make sure you get some proper skiing in a proper ski area - ask Vicky to let you come with me at the end of March to Avoriaz,Morzine etc !!! Very Happy

Hi,
I have skied in Thollon over the last 25 years.
I was there last week and the snow conditions were good, with the exception of 1 afternoon of rain/sleet.
By last weekend the snow was getting a bit thin in places but with the snow making and bashers they were doing a great job in keeping most of it open and very skiable. They could do with another dump of snow and I understand more is forecast later this week.
Lift pass cost for an adult all day is 18 euros plus a bit with insurance.
There is off piste available and ski touring - ask at the ski school for its whereabouts.
