Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hermann Maier v Armin Assinger

Armin Assinger worked as a police officer then he became a member of the Austrian alpine skiing team and from 1984 to 1995 he won four World Cup races. http://www.assinger.at/

Armin is also presenter of the "Who wants to be a millionaire show" in Austria and a ski commentator. In England he would be Finley Mickel, Chris Tarrent and David Vine all rolled into one. The Austrian ski team are having a bad year and Armin has criticized Maier who has retaliated on his web site in an open letter following the "who wants to be a millionaire" structure of questions.

Basically Armin slated Maier for blaming his material again (which Maier hadn't this time) so Maier asked a 100 Euro question on how many world cup races Assinger had won. Maier has 53 world cup wins while assinger has 4.

Boys will be boys.

Tomorrow is most likely Maiers last chance of a medal, good luck Hermann.
