Poster: A snowHead

We fly out tomorrow from Gatwick to Geneva.
Is there likely to be a first come first served seat fight from all the people from the cancelled flights from today being bumped over to tomorrow (Friday)?
We were bumped from an overbooked BA flight at New Year so don't want to be in the same position again...
Any thoughts? Ideas? Experiences with easyjet?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Judging by what goes on on that Airline programme if you're bumped it's tough - you get a seat on the next flight with room. Michelle will know for sure, though.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My parents' flight to Faro was cancelled this morning. Dad rang me from the airport to book them on the next available flight, but tomorrow's was already full. Luckily I got them onto Saturday morning's, but had they waited the 2 hours to drive home and book it for themselves, they may well have found Saturday was full as well. So if you have a confirmed booking for tomorrow, you should be ok.

Freestyle, I would think those who are booked on the flight will have priority over those bumped from yesterday.

It's my understanding that they put canceled flight passengers on the next empty seat. They won't kick people of that are already booked.

kiwi1, when you say "they", it was my understanding from the booking I made yesterday, that you have to do it yourself Hence my dad's phone call to me, so that I could access his booking through the easyjet website. It didn't seem immediately apparent that the airline were intending to do anything, but I may be wrong.
Maybe goldytap can tell us?
