Better wrap up if you come to Killington. On the plus side this is a farenheit measure!! Is it colder than this anywhere else?

Are you saying it was -52c / -61f at the summit in Killington today?
Was this the air temp or the windchill?
I could well believe it was air temp, as it was -20c or so just down the road in Boston today. Very cold.

I sincerely hope there is no resort colder. -61 deg F is -52 deg C . I would have absolutely no wish to venture out in that. You are talking very serious survival in that temperature. It is almost unbelievably cold. -23 deg C is the coldest forecast in the next few days at Killington here, and that is cold enough. Where did you get -61 deg F from?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It looks like windchill.
Snowforecast is modeling -26c / -15f at the summit in Killy during Mon afternoon.
Windchill, in the same place, is at -45c / -49f.
Still a bit nippy.

Wind chill for sure. Hopefully the wind will drop a bit tomorrow and I may venture out of my shack and onto the slopes.

I have always thought it was much too cold to ski comfortably in the Americas

Ambient air temps below -25C are extreamly dangerous as theyu can cause freezing damage to occur inside the lungs, this is why cross country ski races are not supposed to be run below these temps
