i recommend the route that Smudger gives you as well - took us about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Can be a bit cloggy around Andorra la veilla but otherwise no problems

Badgerdot,
I have travelled from Girona to Soldeu four times and the route suggested by Smudger is spot on. However, the shortest that I've done it is 3.5 hours and it can take close to four with traffic and a short pit stop.
The route is very simple. You meet a roundabout when you exit the airport. Take the first exit, you are now on the C25 heading west, signposted for Vic.
After 56 km or so, the C25 merges with the E17, a motorway standard road, for about 1.7km or so, before seperating again at the next motorway exit, signposted C25 for Manresa.
A further 35km along, take the exit for the E9/C16 heading northwards towards Berga. Continue on the E9/C16, passing through the Tunel de Cadi. Continue for 13kms.
At Bellver de Cerdanya, take the N260 towards Le Seu d'Urgell for 30 km.
Take first exit on roundabout at le Seu d'Urgell towards onto N145 heading for Andorra.
If heading to any of the Grandvalira resorts take the CS100 route around La Vella rather than going through town.
Enjoy and I hope that you get a dump of snow before you go!!!

It is a good route. I know this as I have done it before...would be better if it had the names of the roads written down too but I can't find anything with that on at the moment! Will keep looking... |
Used your route and it was superb! thanks...did it in 3.5 hours easy!
