Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Helmet Cams!

A group of us are heading out later next month and we wanted to invest in a helmet cam to capture the magic! Could anyone recommend an entry level system that we can attach to goggles or helmet. I imagine with most of them we will need a camcorder as well, what are your experiences and what worked best for you? Is there a system that could allow you to record to an iPod or requires SDcards?

bh1, are you practicing to be a pot or a kettle?

I think hyweljenkins has a point after 6 identical posts by PowderHunter.

bh1, I wasn't intending to sound rude, but that's not clear from what I said. I've added a Toofy Grin, and apologise to PowderHunter if he thought my tone rude.

bh1, we do but that doesn't infer that we should be rude to the established ones.

Actually I'm very capable of posting a single topic as you will see from my contributions so far. I was having an issue with my wireless connection that kept cutting out as I was trying to submit it. The result of which was four or five posts that were identical. If you want to get hypre critical then maybe users who start threads should be able to delete them! I tried to correct my mistake once I realised what had happened but an error message informed me that I would need an administrator to delete it. You might want to re-thing that one.

Thanks

PowderHunter, you're having a bumpy ride to start of with us. Anyway, as I haven't said it before to you, welcome to snowheads.

Normally you can delete your message yourself, if no one has posted after you - by hitting the little X icon. Maybe another poster had posted by the time you tried that - or maybe there is a bit of a glitch in the system. The forum got wiped out not long ago by hackers, and though it was got back up quickly, a few of the facilities we had were screwed up some.

Hope you can chill out and enjoy the forum.

Hi PowderHunter, try these guys ... http://www.actioncameras.co.uk .... they've loads of gear.

There is another online shop that sells this stuff, but for the life of me and can't remember the company name. If it comes to me, I'll post it up on this thread.

I've been considering buying some camera equipment for a while now, but have never got round to it. If you do take the plunge, I'd be interested in hearing what you think of it.
