Anyone been? Im heading there in a few weeks?
Not sure what its going to be like apart from the cheap beer

spent 10 days there last year, mountain is very good with modern lifts etc. Mountain food is good qualty and reasonably priced. Nite life is good. Beer prices are cheap but do not mix to the 2 main brews of lager together because as they will exspode into a very large frothy mess
Make the most of Bansko while you can because i think it will get exspenive and will be no cheaper than the main European ski areas in the near future. Take ski padlocks as they was a lot of equipment going missing, not something i am use to in other resorts. I had my Leki poles taken
Try and get close to the main lift as its the only way of getting up to the slopes. I can recomend Glynis and Nigel who own and run the Devonshire lodge if you want accomodation or more info. They are very helpful and make for great accompany
All in all i was pleasently surprised by Bansko its not up to Austria, Swiss or French standards but no far away and a lot cheaper.
