Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

great news...it has been snowing all nite, both on mountain and in resort....we were one of the first to get up this morning at at 8.30....and piste conditions are excellent, the sheet ice base has disappeared and most runs are now softer for all concerned.

It has snowed thoughout the day... the real stuff not the fake snow cannons stuff and the diffence is unreal.............Ican confirm the conditons in ziller ski area as excellent

In addition, as a result of this snow the locals in resort are now happy ..........

Where were you skiing. I was there too and there was a few cm on brown ice.

loffers....you going to have a great time.....the winter has startrd in this area.

J......as u know conditions were rough on mon and tuesday but with the snowfall from tuesday night into wednesday snowboarding conditions were best from 830 to 11 ish at best. all i can say the to u is first in first served. the lift opens at 830 be there to get the best conditions...before them skiers get there hands on it.

CARLED...... i would agree with you about the sheet ice base and the snow disappearing however as you know its dumping snow in this general area and conditions have improved a great deal in such a short time
