Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Off piste tuition and a place to stay in Verbier?

I've never been to Verbier, and I'm thinking of going at the end of February. I may be on my own or possibly have one of my ski buddies with me.

I'm looking for somewhere to stay, preferably chalet type accomodation, a good location and comfort, with a good standard of food being essential.

Also I'd be looking for a guided off-piste ski school or group, at a fairly advanced level. Any suggestions?

Kramer, 11th March for me, also perhaps looking for a couple of guided days as never been off pistes (one boarder and one skiier). Let us know if you sort anything

Peak Ski have good chalet type accomodation, they are linked with the Warren Smith Ski Academy and even if you don't want to do a course with Warren you can book private lessons with either him or his other coaches. If you want really good food then consider Ski Verbier - very high end but superb. Even higher end try the chalet that is next door to ours, Chalet Kernow. If you do stay there I'll doubt you'll be bothered skiing, you'll just eat and drink your way through the cellar. Other guiding/coaching options would be Powder Extreme - they are more in the Extremely Canadian mould (in fact the guy who runs it, Felix, is a friend of the EC coach I skied with) and generally ski in small groups. One thing to be be wary of if you want to ski with Warren and his guys is that the Verbier Ride and Big Mountain Heli Ride is at the end of Feb and some of them will be competing/judging/organising that

Kramer, I am out there 22-26 feb,its not easy to find weekend accomadation, most of the hotels will do short stays only at the last minute, so use verbinet.com for links to all the hotels/chalets etc and blanket email or try mellissa at mountain beds.com she is good at sorting out snowHead accomadation problems?
Maybe trya PM to parlor or www.skiextra.co.uk as he is running a chalet out there this season, and you know he loves the deep stuff wink.
any way he must be very busy as i dont seem to have seen any of his more recent posts? ?It would be good to hear some of the trials and tribulations of the innaugaral verbier chalet season wink

We did a short stay at Garbo's, year before last I think. It's right opposite the Furry Shovel on the main drag 5 mins from the Medran Lift. Top location for skiing and apres action.

Kramer, i will be in the area in the first week of march (3-9) with a group that does not venture off-piste. I am not particularly looking for tuition but i would not mind joining an advanced guided group to check out what all the fuss is about in Verbier. I am afraid all the rooms in our chalet are taken. PM if you're interested.
