Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I just got back from Banff this morning. Skiing holidays seem to get better each year for me, I'm now skiing black diamonds with confidence snowHead, I don't like moguls much but I'll get into that next year. Unfortunately I'm 99% certain that I won't be at the EoSB this year Sad but I'm happy with the progress I've made this year.

Not certain where I'm headed next year but going back to Banff for a third successive year has become a distinct possibility.snowHead

Sounds like you're a big fan of Banff then RichardB, have you considered extending your trip again next year and making it the full fortnight?

RichardB, do you mean you like Banff the whole area? Or just the town, or Lake Louise, or Sunshine/Goat's Eye, or Norquay, etc.?

I must say I certainly liked my 10 day visit a few years ago.

I was back at work this morning, I'm still feeling the effects of jetlag but I'm ok, Markus, I do have some pics and I will be putting them up at snowMedia eventually. crosbie, I've been to all three areas, I favour Lake Louise despite the 40 minute bus ride.

RichardB, it stikes me that the marginal cost of an extra week is not much, although I suppose it mounts up. I'm itching to get back to Canada.

RichardB, Renting a car is probably an attractive prospect for a place like Banff.

Have you been to Whistler? That's about the only other place in North America I'd fancy going to (Banff being the only other one).
