Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi All,
How accurate do you think the forecast is currently on this website as it looks though heavy snow forecast over the weekend until the end of the forcast period on Wednesday with the freezing level dropping well below the 1000m mark?
If it comes off the Alpes should start to get better in terms of snow!
Alan

Just got back and in Les Arcs the snow is pretty good, if a little thin (as I left in the gathering gloom onWeds). 20cm weds night, then rain has made the lower slopes slushy but a good base. The snow in La Plagne according to those who had skied both sides was less good with mainly blues open, but the blues and reds in Les Arcs. Spring wind blown rained on hard pack off piste allowed go anywhere skiing.
Is the forecast true? I hope so but even if not you have skiing down to 1800 for sure.
This Pic
shows yesterdays conditions at 1600.

This forecast is usually pretty accurate for Les Ars - My GF is out there at the moment and conditions are exactly as they say they are - So I am hopeful that this promise of snow for Monday to Wednesday is accurate (I'm going out on Thursday
