Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm heading to La Thuile on Sunday, anyone care to update me on the conditions at the resort? I've had a look at various sites and some say that only 30% of the pistes are open, is this true?

I am staying in La Rosiere on the French side. Skied la Thuile on Monday and Tuesday. About half was open and it was possible to ski down to La Thuile via a black run. The pistes were in good condition then, but we've had 2 days of rain since then. Pistes are actually holding up pretty well here in La Ros, its just a bit miserable skiing in the rain.

Skied La Thuile again today. It was +13 degrees in the village!!! However pistes were still in excellent condition and we had a great days skiing.
I reckon 70% was skiiable. Some nice off piste as well. There were 4m drifts up on the pass!!!!
Enjoy.

I've been monitoring the various sites and it's all doom and gloom at the moment, hopefully the snow that is forcast next week will come!
