Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Courchevel Help.

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm off snowboarding to Courchevel on the 3rd Feb with my lass, staying up in 1850. I hear that it is quite expensive, i know there will be reasonable places to eat and drink, can anyone recommend anywhere ? Good bars for apres ski, etc.

Would it be possible to get to Meribel and back on a bus or in a taxi in the evening ? We have friends who will be there.

My girlfriend is going to have lessons with RTM, we've heard they are good, anyone had lessons with them ?

Cheers Wallas

Went to Les Arcs 2nd Jan, loads of snow lets hope Courchevel will be as good.

Bar wise, I can recommend the Jump Bar and Le Kalico - neither is particularly expensive.

Might be expensive to do that as I think you'll have to go down and back up again...you might prefer to ski over during the day and then crash the night at theres and back the following day.

..to find out what bars are hip this season (esp for the workers) then check out http://www.courchevelenquirer.com/

..but watch out for dodgy russians. http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/international.cfm?id=66012007

Kalico is under new ownership! Was a great place, you could have tex-mex, indain, burgers but all great. Now its local meals, and pricey.

We loved that place when we just wanted good normal food!

The Cave? pizza restuarant in the forum next to the launderette is great though, and not too expensive.

Hope this helps
