hopefully booking whistler up in the next few days!! 
any recommendation for hotels to stay in?
i have been offered;
holiday innn sunspree
coast hotel
crystal lodge
which one has the best location--nearest the slopes???

I've stayed in the Coast. It's a good hotel, but a 5 minute walk to the slopes. On the plus side, the Crab Shack is right next door.
Crystal is the closest.

jollykay, stayed at the Delta Whislter Suites, not bad adn has cooking facilities but further away than some, thouh it does run it's own minibus to the lifts. sorry can't help more

I've stayed in the Listel, Crystal and holiday sunspree. Crystal is nearer but is a hotel room without facilities (unless you are booking one of the limited apartments). Listel is just behind the Crystal, about a 4 minute walk and again is just a hotel room. Holiday Inn Sunspree is apartments (with kitchinettes) so you might prefer the flexibility this offers. It's about a 4 min walk through the backof the resort past Kegs steakhouse (highly recommended).

The bar part is now called "el furniture warehouse" for some reason , Go figure?
